It was clear this wedding at Samabe Bali Suites & Villas would be one filled with emotion, laughter, and meaningful traditions. Over three incredible days, family and friends travelled from around the world to celebrate Gurkaran and Nishi, creating an atmosphere where every moment felt genuine and deeply connected.
The pastel colour palette of soft sage green, blush pink, ivory, and touches of burgundy blended beautifully with the clean modern architecture of Samabe Bali. The venue itself became part of the story, from its dramatic glass chapel overlooking the Indian Ocean to the lush tropical gardens and private beachfront.
A Haldi Full of Laughter and a Surprise No One Expected
Every Haldi ceremony brings joy, but this one had an unforgettable surprise.
Before the event started, the couple's parents, aunties, and uncles suddenly broke into a perfectly choreographed flash mob performance. It was completely unexpected and instantly transformed the celebration into one giant dance floor.. The couple's reaction were priceless.
Family members who had travelled thousands of miles laughed together, danced together, and embraced every colourful moment. These spontaneous surprises are exactly what documentary wedding photography is all about, preserving authentic memories that no timeline can ever plan.
A Hindu Ceremony Beneath a Giant Tree by the Beach
One of the most memorable settings of the entire celebration was the Hindu wedding ceremony.
Guests made their way along a flower lined pathway beneath an enormous tropical tree before arriving at the mandap positioned on the beach.
With waves gently rolling behind them and ocean breezes moving through the floral installations, every element felt connected to nature. The flowers of the decor contrasted beautifully with the lush greenery, creating a ceremony that felt both grand and peaceful.
The walk towards the mandap became one of the most visually stunning moments of the weekend, framed by towering branches that naturally formed an aisle unlike any other..
What a cool way to end the ceremony by releasing a bunch of baby turtles into the sea, setting them onto a new journey.
A Quiet First Look Above the Indian Ocean
Before the Anand Karaj began, Gurkaran and Nishi shared a private first look overlooking the cliffs and endless blue ocean of Samabe Bali.
Away from the excitement of the guests, they finally had a few peaceful minutes together.
There were no elaborate poses.
Just genuine smiles, quiet conversations, and the kind of silence that only exists between two people about to begin a new chapter together.

A Sikh Ceremony Filled with Light
The Sikh Anand Karaj took place inside Samabe Bali's iconic glass chapel.
Natural light poured through the soaring floor to ceiling windows, filling the entire space with a soft glow throughout the ceremony. Delicate pink florals lined the white aisle, while guests sat closely together, creating an intimate atmosphere despite the chapel's impressive scale.
The ceremony itself was calm, reverent, and emotional.
Watching Gurkaran and Nishi exchange quiet smiles throughout the prayers reminded everyone that amidst the celebrations, this day was ultimately about two people promising forever.
